Apropos of this character of our history, that Jorge Luis Tovar Díaz talks about us very well in a previous entry, I want to add some detail: it was indeed the eldest son who aspired to join the Kingdom which their father Fernando I had divided. I almost had got, when he met with Zamora " the well fenced " where was his sister Urraca. October 7, 1072, during the siege, Bellido Dolfos assassinated him, according to popular tradition, it has while it met their needs along with portillo then called treason and now the zamoranos called simply Bellido Dolfos. Said portillo is still preserved in the Zamora wall near the Cathedral, one of the beauties of Romanesque architecture of the Douro with Byzantine dome
